About Us
Meet Jessyca
Whiskers and Wiggles LLC was founded in 2018 by Jessyca Nagorski. Jessyca has been caring for pets professionally since 2014, and started helping her family and neighbors with their pets when she was only 13 years old. She always knew she wanted to grow up and continue to work with animals, but the idea of becoming a veterinarian didn’t feel like the right path. Jessyca volunteered at local animal rescues, trained under a vet tech to gain some basic medical knowledge, went to seminars about animal behavior and dog training, then caught a lucky break when an acquaintance asked for help walking an adorable Havanese. Suddenly, it all fell into place and Jessyca knew that helping people provide care and exercise for their pets was what she was meant to do.
Jessyca lives in Akron, Ohio with her husband of 8 years and their 2 dogs and 2 cats, Otto, Cthulhu, Rosa, and Calvin. When not spending time with all of the pets in her life, she enjoys reading, playing piano, playing video games, and researching her family genealogy.
Jessyca is currently Pet First Aid and CPR certified through Pet Pro Heros and Udemy. She is Fear Free Certified Level 1 (currently working on Level 2). She is fully insured through Pet Sitters Associates and a member of Professional United Pet Sitters (PUPS).
